What we run
Programs for every age
Year-round activities built around family, language, faith and belonging.
Youth Sports
Soccer and swimming through the winter season, plus summer tournaments — coaching, teamwork and a lot of pizza.
Eid & Cultural Celebrations
Eid Al-Fitr and Eid Al-Adha gatherings, Ramadan nights and national days — open family events with food, games and our flag flying.
Newcomer & Family Support
A first point of contact for families arriving in Ottawa–Gatineau: practical advice, introductions, and a community that already knows the way.

A community built by families, for families
The Libyan Canadian Community of Ottawa–Gatineau is a volunteer-run non-profit. We are parents, students, professionals and newcomers who share a heritage and a commitment to contributing to Canadian life.
We exist so that no Libyan family in this region has to start from scratch — so children grow up knowing their language and faith, and so the door is always open to the next family to arrive.
